Other Services

Sidelink Transport offers more than just standard container transport services.

Customer Portal

Our innovative transport management system allows for our customers to receive real-time updates regarding their containers (including real-time proof of delivery) and provide our drivers to access vital information for each delivery or pick up.
Along with providing updates through our web-based portal – our transport management system can integrate with external systems such as Cargowise and Expedient, so you can send your consignments through EDI.

Verified Gross Mass (Container Weight)

All containers that are exported from Australia are legally required to have a verified gross mass declared on the shipping document under Marine Order 42, enabled by the Navigation Act 2012 (Cth.)

To support our customers who do not have access to a weighbridge on site, Sidelink Transport offers the added service of Verified Gross Mass weighing – in Melbourne, we are able to offer this service at our depot. Our Verified Gross Mass service is not only offered for export containers but additionally for import containers.

Biosecurity Fumigation

Registration number V3189

Operating under an approved arrangement with the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment – Sidelink Transport is able to carry out and offer biosecurity fumigations at our depot in Melbourne with a quick turnaround time to ensure your container can be delivered in a timely manner.

Customs 77G Licenced Depot (Underbond)

Establishment identification GQ28K

Licenced as a 77G Customs Depot with the Australian Border Force with capacity to store in excess of 500 TEU – Sidelink Transport can securely and conveniently store your FCL container as Underbond whilst awaiting customs clearance.

Container Storage

At our strategically located depot in Melbourne, Sidelink Transport offers container storage with both of our depots having 24/7 security and dedicated container handling equipment.

Our depot in Melbourne is purpose built with concrete hardstand and capacity for 1,500 TEU with controlled access. We can offer storage of general, hazardous chemical, dangerous goods, and refrigerated (reefer) containers.

Dangerous Goods

Our heavy vehicle operators are trained and licenced for the transport of most dangerous goods – also known as hazardous goods – in either placardable units (“bulk”) or placardable loads (“packaged”). We offer transport of standard 20ft and 40ft containers, as well as tanktainers (ISO tanks).
In addition to our heavy vehicles, our depot in Melbourne is bunded with a storm water shut off valve, allowing Sidelink Transport to store most dangerous goods safely and securely in shipping containers, in either bulk or packaged – whilst protecting the environment in the unlikely event of a loss of containment.
